Wallpaper theme dificulties

Hi Guys! I wanted to use the Wallpaper theme on my blog (which is a makeup blog) and I decided to modify it on a test blog. It works perfectly fine, but I really want to solve 2 things which I can’t really manage. So, the test blog with the template is http://testingallmadeup.blogspot.com/ and my problems are as follows:

1. on the home page, pictures are not in the entire “dotted” area and I need to ask, am I going to need to create pics with that specific size to fill the are or is there another way to make it more pleasant to the eye.
2. *this is the one i really don’t know how to solve*. If I click a post and it takes me to it, the banner is still present, although not with my banner but with the first picture in the post. I want to completely remove the banner area when not on the home page. Is that possible? If so, how?
